# How to Make:

01 - Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.
02 - Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and stir fry for 2-3 minutes until pink and just cooked through. Remove shrimp from pan and set aside.
03 - Add remaining oil to the pan. Add garlic, ginger, and all vegetables except green onions. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
04 - Return shrimp to the pan. Pour sauce over shrimp and vegetables. Stir well and cook for 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens and everything is evenly coated.
05 - Remove from heat. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro if desired. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Everything comes together in under 25 minutes, making it perfect for those evenings when you are starving but want something better than takeout
  • The sauce balances salty, sweet, and tangy so beautifully that you will want to drizzle it over everything
02 -
  • Overcrowding the pan when cooking shrimp makes them steam instead of sear, so work in batches if your skillet is not big enough
  • The sauce will continue thickening for about 30 seconds after you remove it from heat, so do not panic if it looks a little loose in the pan
03 -
  • Dry your shrimp thoroughly with paper towels before cooking to help them sear instead of steam
  • Preheat your pan for a full 2 minutes before adding oil so vegetables get that gorgeous slight char instead of just steaming in their own juices
